The Customer service is amazing, the food tastes fresh. Sit inside and read a book , or get a coffee or drink from Nube 9 the best refreshing drink for a great price. I will definitely be making my way back to get some sweet treats, the ladies are just awesome. Friendly,clam, quite, peaceful atmosphere.
I have so many things to say about Heather, Isabel, Deb, and the rest of the Bonne Vie team I honestly don't know where to begin. Since discovering their delicious desserts through their macarons sold by Graze Acadiana in the late summer of last year, I have been by more times than I can count- I've become such a consistent customer that the ladies just know to say "see you next week" as I leave with my pink box of goodies. These are definitely the best desserts you can buy in the Acadiana area- the macarons are amazing and come in both traditional and unique flavors that are so fun to try, and they feature other rotating desserts like cupcakes, poptarts, sugar cookie bars (my favorite!), meringues, brownies, cookie dough cups, cream puffs, and more. I love the attention to detail that Bonne Vie takes in making sure their desserts look absolutely beautiful- they use unique sprinkles and artful splatters of edible gold and silver paint to make desserts that are truly works of art. Their customer service is top notch, too. During the holidays I stopped by to buy macarons to bring as a small party favor for a holiday lunch I was attending, and the team was kind enough to help me package them in individual boxes and tie them with ribbon (photo attached). I genuinely recommend Bonne Vie whether you just have a craving for something sweet or if you need a dessert platter for your next gathering- Heather and Isabel will make sure you are taken care of.
This place might just be my favorite place in Lafayette besides home. The vibes are always a treat and the treats themselves are delicious and perfect. BVM is worth a visit for sure! Plus the book clubs are exquisite. So glad to be apart of the community there.

Caitlyn Williams and Nikki Nugier with The Gleason Group collaborated closely to pinpoint the ideal location for this growing business and it is now situated in a once-vacant space, transformed into a vibrant shop by Gleason Ledet Construction. Offering an array of perfectly crafted treats including macarons, petit fours, brownies, cookies and so much more, Bonne Vie promises to elevate any occasion. The mac packs make the best pop by gifts for clients. Beyond their offerings, Bonne Vie extends a warm invitation to experience their charming venue. Whether you're seeking a venue for events or simply craving sweets, Bonne Vie delivers. What an absolutely unforgettable evening at Bon Vie! From the moment we walked in, Laurie’s warm hospitality set the tone for a truly special night. Her genuine care made us feel right at home in that charming, intimate space — it’s clear she’s the heart and soul of this place. And then there's Chef Caesar — what a maestro! The food was simply divine. Every dish felt thoughtfully composed, beautifully plated, and bursting with flavor. We ordered salmon, short ribs, and chicken, and each bite was more tender, juicy, and delicious than the last. We couldn’t resist sharing, and every plate was a winner. And oh — the Biscoff cookie cheesecake at the end? One of the best desserts I’ve ever tasted. Service was top-notch: attentive, friendly, and clearly passionate about the restaurant. At one point, Chef Caesar even came by our table so we could personally thank him. That level of connection between the kitchen and the guests is rare, and it made the night feel very personal and meaningful. Laurie, Caesar — thank you both for creating such a memorable dining experience. You’ve built more than a restaurant; you’ve built a gem. We’ll absolutely be back soon. Wow! The new place has been awesome. Personally, I’d love nothing more than to make this my home because a bakery and bookstore combo is absolutely ideal to me. The bakery side has been around for a while, but the newest addition of a romance bookstore has really set Bonne Vie apart. They seem to work tirelessly to produce a new menu each week with a specific theme tied to it. Their speciality is definitely the macarons, but their other desserts are certainly just as delectable. I love that you are able to call to reserve items, and are always greeted with a hello. Their owners keep the shop well maintained and the atmosphere inviting. I would highly recommend this shop to everyone. Sometimes desserts or romance bookstore aren’t every one’s cup of tea; but they’re absolutely worth trying once. Maybe the dessert isn’t exactly like down the road or how you make it, but it has never made it not delicious and edible. Again, would highly recommend you stop by for yourself and try!
This has continued to be one of my favorite places in Lafayette. The own is so creative and has taken great care in providing a fun and sweet space for the Lafayette community. Between the fabulous macarons, delicious treats, and her new adventure into the romance book world, I’m always excited for what she does next. Tdlr: I’ve been supporting this small business for years and can’t wait to continue.
I read about this store on the Lafayette tourism website and have been wanting to come for some time now. The store holds two stores in one. Half romantic books that highlights the dark, LGBTQIA+ and then your regular romance novels. I am not allowed to purchase any books at the moment, but I will be back once I am allowed to once again. The other half is a sweets bakery. I got two of the macaroons and an iced coffee. The prices were very reasonable, the coffee very good, and the service was amazing. Their restroom was so cute, I had to take a picture! And they had feminine hygiene products in case there is a need!
